Fire, Water, Air and Earth ...
The four elements that find their place in many cultures and thought systems are essentially there to maintain balance, and the whole of the four elements represents "Vital Energy".
There are 4 elements at the basis of Greek philosophy: Fire (Morality), Water (Spirit and Aesthetics), Air (Mind and mind), Earth (Everything that is Physical). Thales, "The nature of things is water." saying that the main substance of everything in the universe is water; Anaksimenes, that everything is made of air; Heraclitus argued that fire can take any form and that fire is at the center of everything. Empedocles, on the other hand, thought differently from all of them and came up with the philosophy of 4 elements. What the elements symbolize according to common belief:
Fire: It represents energy, mobility, dynamism, vitality, courage, ego, outward-looking and divine power.
Water: Considered the opposite of fire, water symbolizes spiritual matters. Sensitive and touchy nature, empathy, emotionality, imagination and spiritual issues; it also represents wisdom because of its reflective property.
Air: As it has the ability to rise like fire, it usually symbolizes abstract titled subjects. Mind, mind, consciousness, freedom, harmony and unity; It also represents communication issues due to its ability to carry sound waves.
Earth: It is the opposite of the element air. Symbolizing the "Mother Earth", known as the creator in many myths, the earth represents the instinct of taking root, money, tradition, avoidance of change, protection.
Even though the elements symbolize different thoughts and beliefs, they create balance when evaluated as a whole. The best thing to do to use the power of the four elements is to balance one's own energy. The best thing to do is to have a symbol or object representing the elements.
